Kodaira is one of the famous classical guitar manufacturers in Japan.
Brand-name wise, internationally it might not as popular as Yamaha, Asturias, Aria, Yairi, or Matsuoka,
but some experts in Japan say the quality is considered one of the best.
I myself encountered this brand at the first time when I joined
the guitar club in my university in Japan. I remembered there were some kind of competitions between
Kodaira users and Matsuoka users among the members in the club. Then, I just realized
how popular this brand is among the Japanese guitar beginners.
Like other typical Japanese manufactured guitars, the
playability and craftmanship are wonderful.
In fact, Kodaira is the "keiretsu" (sub-contractor)
of Kohno guitar workshop. And recently,
I found out that it has connection with Asturias company
(the 'AST' in the model name is actually a good hint).

For this particular guitar, I would describe the balance is good between treble and bass.
The treble is bright, in fact a little bit too bright, in my opinion.
The bass is not too boomy. With small neck, the guitar is relatively easy to play.
