THE
WHIMSICAL FANTASTICAL WHOPPINGLY SPASTICAL WEBSHYTE OF DAVEY FLOP-IT
AND HIS MAGICAL SOLO RELEASES, SPECIFICALLY MUSIC MODULES FOR PROGRAMS
SUCH AS IMPULSE TRACKER.
I intend to
eventually have all of my releases from 1995 to present on here, but at
the moment it's just the recent ones. There were no 2005 releases as I
was otherwise entangled in horrible anti-tracking activities such as
work and drinking. :). Be warned that
most of my early (1995-1997) tracks were pretty shitty, but some of
them were quite good for me at the time, however, i probably have a
shorter attention span than most ppl cuz i'd only make tracks that went
for a minute or so and just slap it together in a few hours with bugger
all effort then release it on a local dialup BBS. In recent years i've
really made an effort not to suck, so the majority of tracks from 2002
onwards are mostly bloody brilliant, well.. maybe at least vaguely
interesting :P. The internet sux, bring back BBS's! ;)
90% of the
tracks listed are designed for playback in Impulse Tracker 2.13 or
above, with Gravis UltraSound MAX and a twisted, warped, very strange
brain attached to your ears :). If any tracks aren't recommended to be
played in IT, it should have instructions in the NFO file or
FILE_ID.DIZ on what to do with it.. preferably not cramming it up your
arse. Other commonly preferred playback methods would be Cubic Player,
Inertia Player, StarPlayer or maybe even MultiTracker for a weird one
like 'ai9' where it must be played by pressing [alt-]F6 and NOT the
normal F5, as it plays backwards for the entirety of the track. Impulse
Tracker and most players just shit themselves if you try to play 'ai9'.
Most tracks should play okay in ModPlug, but avoid WinAmp for the most
part, it doesn't interpret some things correctly.
I will
eventually list all the programs for DOS which i use or recommend, or
at least put up a link to where you can download it. For a currently
just-looksee list without any downloading or links, check the bottom of
this page.
