Gopher, well not a lot can be said about Gopher.  He pops up (literally) every once in a while.  Not a very big character, but a character none the less. So in my book he deserves a page.  I have no quotes for Gopher as of this moment, but some day I will.

Maggie does not say Gopher yet, but while reading the books with her, and I ask her where Gopher is, she does point him out, which actually took me by surprise.  Maybe it was process of elimination, but still.
