My primary responsibilites are to manage and support Global Crossings's Alpha and NT/Windows technical environment. This includes an Alpha cluster, various other Alpha standalone systems and over 100 Windows servers running business critical applications across the UK and Europe. Midland Bank, Southampton.

April 1990 - Feb 1999 : System Manager

My responsibilities were to manage and support Midland Bank's VAX technical environment. This included eight VAX Clusters running business critical applications, and over two hundred remotely situated MicroVAXes supporting over seven thousand users.

July 1988 - April 1990 : Technical Specialist

Liaison with on-site Digital staff to manage the installation of over sixty plus VAX systems using ALL-IN-1. On completion of this project I then became responsible for Systems, Network, and Performance Management.

January 1988 - July 1988 : Senior Computer Operator

Senior Operator, leading a team of four, supporting Midland Bank's Household Insurance System.

November 1982 - January 1988 : Senior Computer Operator

Employed as a Computer Operator, then progressed to a Network Assistant before moving on to become a Senior Computer Operator, leading a team of four operators supporting a CI cluster of seven VAX's.
