| Greetings from Davette, Maurice, Steven, & Whitney. We wanted a way to share some of our experiences with friends and family, as we are truly blessed to be able to live in another country while experiencing some of the Japan culture. While stationed here at Misawa Air Force Base in Misawa Japan, we have already enjoyed some of what Japan has to offer. Maurice has climbed Mt. Fuji, Davette has frequented the hot baths in town, and has been known to get in her car and find the best places to eat and shop! Whitney has picked up on some Japanese sayings, and whenever she is in town she is admired by the Misawans for her braides (they love anything different from themselves). Steven loves going to Shimoda Mall, where there's a great arcade, movie theatre, grocery store, and bowling alley all within the mall. I haven't taken many pictures, but hope to do so and get them posted soon before the snow starts. I've heard around the base that last year the base accumulated 250 inches of snow! So we won't be traveling off base in the winters, as much as we are now. I will also be posting pictures of us on base, so you can get a picture of what life is like for us here in Misawa!
