More Pictures from Bhutan including some from our trip to Bumthang

In Thimphu the new Hospital is coming along. It's being built with Indian Govt. Money and will be around 350 Beds. Delivery Suite will be much better than the current arrangements. The hospital will have both CT and MRI scanners - indeed the MRI scanner is already installed.

We are enjoying the good weather, usually it is sunny and warm in the morning with cloud in the afternoon.
We took a Picnic to the Botanical Gardens, which is in a lovely spot down the valley from Thimphu. It's still quite new, so the trees are all quite small but there is an Orchsid house. There are quite a few Orchids around in the forest. The locals bring magnificent picnics with rice cookers and hot water jars as well as the usual.

Just behind the flat is a very big hill, which is ideal for treeking practice. We haven't got to the top yet as its over 1800m of climbing.
The Girls all bought Kira's from the local weavers, who work in the industrial estate in town.
Rosie is enjoying having a phone in her room, and is really enjoying the preschool.
We've been for walks in the Thimphu area and seen some of the trekking horses, This was at the end of the road just before the national park.
At the beginning of May we took a trip to Bumthang, around 250 Km from Thimphu - 9 hours drive.
On the way we stopped at Trongsa - with the magnificent Dzong (fortress/monastry). The setting is incredible with a river in the valley far below.
The girls wore their Kiras, Alice enjoys wearing hers but Rosie is less keen

On the way to Bumthang we saw some Yaks ! This caused a lot of excitement, as did the monkeys There were other Yaks behind the Camera.
