Right Side of the Riot
Corik disagreed with Master Jurix. Going on the opposite side was too risky, thus he followed his Master down the right side. Together they could cut them all down, for they would stand side to side and deflect blaster fire from one side each. Cutting down the angles was always a plus for more effective combat.
Corik almost predicted correctly. If it hadn’t been such a large group, they would have disposed of them all very quickly. However, the group was large. Before they could hit half of them with deflected shots, the men moved to either side of the two Jedi. They enveloped the two in a half circle, the other half cut off by the edge of the platform.
Before Corik knew it, they were beginning to get the upper hand, but one shot came at an odd angle, and he missed it. It hit him square in the lower left of his torso, and he fell from the shock of the wound. He didn’t stop his deflections though, and with Master Jurix’s expertise they soon had the mob completely exterminated, with a few stragglers surrendering.
He was too weak however to get up, the blaster shot being surprisingly deep. He saw Master Jurix call for a medical crew on his COM link, however it would be too late by the time they arrived. Corik grew weaker every second from loss of blood, he needed something now or he would be gone in a few moments. He looked on his belt loop, hoping to find something of use.
