Bacta
By the time Corik hit the ground, he knew the wound was fatal. But he remembered the small tank of bacta he had acquired earlier. These healing aids he had heard were quick and effective. He hoped so as he took it out and applied its contents onto his wound. The tingling he felt around the area was followed by a quick almost magical sealing of the wound the laser had created. Master Edem was standing at the door watching, glad to see Corik had the means to recover by himself. They began searching the room.
Though there was nobody there, the room did not look as though it had been deserted for good, so the occupier was bound to return sometime soon. It was because of this Master Edem assured Corik the Capulan security forces would be watching the apartment at all times.
Corik eyed a desk near the bedside. He saw a small data pad with notes scribbled on it. He read:
They did it again, every few weeks another planet it seems…
I don’t know how long we’ve got before they’ve taken over.
Work to rally more systems to our cause, numbers are what we need…
Especially if the Jedi are too foolish to help us.
Corik’s eyes widened. He looked at Master Edem, who was heading for the door, then back at the data pad. He grabbed the pad and hid it inside his cloak, not wanting to assume anything just yet. He would think on this later, in the solitude of his room at the Temple.
