Attack Head On
Master Jurix had told him to attack with all of his heart, with all of this mind, and with all of his strength. His power could overcome any enemy if he could harness it all. And he meant to.
He ran with a burst of speed surprising to himself even, and should the robot have been any living thing, that would have surprised it too. He focused himself, flying off walls, rolling, dodging to avoid the laser blasts, beam shots, even the one missile that struck the ground below him when he leapt in the air. Soon enough he was upon the robot. His blue saber shown brightly, against the dim light and shiny reflective surface of the machine’s armor plating.
No simple armor plating could withstand the power of the lightsaber’s energy, especially when combined with the sheer power of Corik’s deep blows. In two strokes and a heavy thrust he had dismantled both movement arms and injected the saber into the beam cannon in the center. He held it there, knowing his saber was cutting through the robot’s power center. He heard a crack, and jumped backward pulling his saber with him as the machine blew apart into pieces. Shards were left all over, but a majority of the mechanism had disintegrated. He took a deep breath and retracted his saber as he returned it to his belt loop.
Corik looked up at the door in front of him. It was a blast door, much like the ones in Capula headquarters, where he had been before he was tossed down into this pit unexplicably. Around it a metal wall stretched to the edges, leaving no other way to go but back. Without even looking back, Corik headed straight in the door.
