SWITZERLAND NEWS
The Swiss will be in germany thanks to a breath taking 2-4 loss in Turkey, allowing them to progress on away goals as they won the first leg 2-0 on home soil.  The Swiss missed out on '98 and '02 and will be looking to continue the solid form that got them to the world cup in the first place. Overcoming Israel and Ireland in their group, the Swiss lost only one game during qualifying, and that was to the Turkish.

Alexander Frei was a standout for Switzerland with the shooting boots, netting seven times to easily lead their goalscoring charge.
