| This is my Harlequin Tuskfish (Choerodon fasciatus) which is a member of the Wrasse family. I purchased him when he was about 3 1/2 inches long, now he is almost 5 inches long. He's a survivor and has recovered from several different infections including an intestinal blockage. | ||||||||||||

| Maximum Length: 10 in. (25 cm) Range: Indo-west Pacific My minimum recommended tank size: 90 gal. Feeding: Prefers meaty foods including fresh or frozen seafoods including mysis, krill, shrimp, black worms, and small feeder fish. Feed several times a day. Reef compatibility: Not recommended because although it will not bother corals it will eat invertibrates like snails, crabs, and shrimp. Care in the aquarium: A great addition to the more aggresive community tank. Juveniles will hide alot until they get bigger and become more confident. Adutls may be aggressive towards smaller or newly added tankmates. Goes well with larger angelfishes, surgeonfishes, sociable triggers, and puffers. Keep only one per tank. Specimens from around Australia tend to be more colorful. |
