Personal History:

Serafina was born on Caprica, which was generally considered to be the most cosmopolitan of the former colonies. Her mother Clio was the co- host of a news magazine show and her father was the famous Colonial Warrior Hector "The Hammer" Corvus. The couple met when Clio interviewed Hector following a particularly stunning raid against a Cylon stronghold. The fact that Hector was much older (and married) didn't deter them. Serafina was born about a year after the pair married. Both Clio and Hector were busy with their respective careers, so the child was cared for largely by nannies and housekeepers until she was school-aged. Periodically, however, both parents would get together and they'd all play happy family, spoiling Serafina in the way semi-absent parents tend to do.

With her mother's upbeat outlook and her father's sharp mind, Serafina was successful in school, both academically and socially. There were more than a few times when she could have coasted along on her name or her looks, but along with the Corvus smarts she'd inherited Hector's drive. Like most other top students she was aggressively recruited for the Warrior Academy, where she began to make a name for herself. Serafina proved to be an exceptional instinctive pilot, her deft hand on the stick and preternatural combat senses making up for the fact that her formal skills in tactics were less developed. Hector visited his daughter often while she was at the Academy and requested that she be assigned to the Akropolis after graduation. Her official callsign is Fury, but some people have referred to her as "Little Hammer" behind her back (not always meant to be a compliment).

Serafina's years at the Academy were the first time she'd been required to address the issue that her father had been married before. The name Troy came up often, on trophies in the awards hall and from the mouths of older teachers who'd been there when he was in training. She'd hunted up his picture, but no one would have guessed they were related. Neither looked much like their father, except for Hector's eyes -- they'd both inherited those. That bothered Serafina a little bit, seeing her eyes in his face, but most of the time she didn't think much about it. The Fleet was a big place, after all.

Well, the Fleet /used/ to be a big place. The betrayal of the Colonies took away everything she'd ever known. Her mother Clio was covering the peace conference, and according to all reports she died in the first wave of attacks. Hector went down with the Akropolis. Like so many other pilots that day, Serafina crash-landed in Galactica's viper bay with nothing but a wounded ship and the clothes on her back. Now she is part of Red Squadron, commanded by Captain Troy Corvus. All she wants to do now is survive and find her place (and kill a few Cylons), just like everyone else.

Personality:

Serafina is in many ways her mother's daughter -- outgoing, social, attractive, and a bit impulsive. She operates largely from a base of emotion and instinct rather than logic. Luckily she has the reflexes to make it work for her most of the time. Before the destruction she was on the fast track for a stellar career; now she's a bit free-floating. Career has ceased to mean what it once did; simple survival is now the primary goal. Like her father she is stubborn and often runs headlong into the thick of trouble, where she doesn't back down easily. Clearly this can be both an asset and a flaw, depending on the situation.

Hobbies/Interests:

Drawing/painting; reading; dancing; spending time with friends.

Commander Hector Corvus/Father (deceased); Clio Neola-Corvus/Mother (deceased); Captain Troy Corvus/Brother
