Rear view of the refurbished chassis assembled, with the re-worked forks installed. Drawing the fork tubes up into the triple clamp supposedly can be done with strenuous application of a large mallet. I, however, found this impossible and purchased a special tool that made it do-able, but still a monumental pain in the arse. But I'm whining now, aren't I? Sorry. Old timers out there are laughing at me now, I can tell. But, for you newbies like me... DON'T FORGET TO PUT THE CLIP-ONS ON BEFORE YOU DRAW THE FORK TUBES UP INTO THE TOP CLAMP!!! I remembered, of course, but I thought I would pass that along, just in case... :-) |
