Chassis Refurbishing and Reassembly
I decided to go with the OEM forks and rework them, rather than purchase an entirely different front end which would in turn have to match the hub.  The high-end way to go would be a racing front end like a Ceriani, and a four leading shoe brake like a Grimeca or Suzuki Water Buffalo laced into an Akront shouldered alloy rim.  A front end like that can easily exceed $2000.00.  So, I decided to put rebound dampeners and all new seals in these forks, and use the Triumph brake (two-leading shoe) laced into a Valante shouldered alloy rim.  We'll see how this works and if I want (and if I win the lottery) I can always upgrade the front end later.  This fork re-work was done by one of the best in the business,  Rick Price at Raber's Parts Mart.
