Dear Editor:
I am writing in regards to David Roberts' column on homosexuality.
Having a lot of both straight and gay friends, I was disgusted (almost as disgusted as I get at Preacher Bob).
It is fine that Roberts knows what his views are, but he needs to stop preaching to the rest of us. Not everyone on this campus is a Christian.
Even though he was not "gay bashing," he wasn't helping to decrease homophobia in any way.
People are entitled to their own views and opinions, but he shouldn't think his view is the only one in the world.
Please stop talking down to your readers.
Quit trying to make us feel stupid or ignorant for accepting all people no matter what.
Quit interpreting the Bible in such a way to merely back your own opinions.
Things are bad enough in the world. We don't need to encourage people to hate others' actions just because they are not exactly like our own.

Dear Editor:
Thanks David Roberts for your refreshing "point of view" in Thursday's edition of the O'Collegian. Homosexuality seems to be a subject close to a lot of people.
Homosexuals are still somebody's brother, sister, mom, dad or friend.
I like the statement you said about "True Christians love homosexuals, but that does not mean they condone their immoral behavior.
"He loves the sinner, but hates the sin."
I also liked the comparison of the Bible as compared to Old Testament history and today's standards and how you compared it. Keep up the good work. Hope you don't get a lot of heat off this.
Everybody is entitled to their opinion, and I certainly like yours. Also, I am keeping a copy of this article in my Bible so I can refer back to it for reference and for a daily reminder.
