Letters to the Editor

Dear Editor,

I am writing in response to David Roberts’ column on April 30. I am offended by Mr. Roberts’ inability to argue effectively.

Mr. Roberts always espouses his treatises on why he is right and everyone else is wrong, but he never seems to say why he is right.

I thought the whole point of an opinion column was to persuade the reader by developing a good argument.
In order for one’s argument to be good, one’s conclusion must be backed up with premises or an explanation, neither of which are offered by Mr. Roberts.

Hopefully, Mr. Roberts will realize that he is performing a disservice to his causes by not rationally explaining why they are right.
