Republicans spend, too

Letters to the Editor
This letter is in regard to the recent tripe which your columnist, David Roberts, attempted to pass off as significant insight into ideology. The anti-leftist propaganda spewed forth from his column is hardly a scathing indictment, but rather ignorant and biased ramblings regarding a legitimate viewpoint.

His condescension to the "monkeys" of us that saw fit to read his so-called "article" is not only unprofessional, but completely unsubstantiated.

Although the "faceless parts of the utterly helpless "masses" do allocate funds to more government funded programs, the insinuation that they throw all of the government's revenues down the drain is a complete crock. Even the "almighty" Republicans are in a constant battle to increase spending on such items as military expansion.

As for the surplus of the budget, which Mr. Roberts informs me is mine, I would like him to tell me when I can expect my check from the magnanimous benefactors knows as conservatives.

I am not a leftist, but the pure drivel which David Roberts has passed off as witty rhetoric is nothing more than egotistical, patronizing garbage.
