It seemed that even though Bush was a heavy favorite for the nomination, the media still loved McCain. How could this be? Was it possible that the media could actually love a Republican candidate? Only a naive fool would believe this. So why the media hype?
Ladies and gentlemen, as is my custom, I will share a deep hidden secret that the general media wouldn’t dare leak. It is my duty to bring the light of truth to all people, so I will shine my truth beam onto this topic to reveal the clandestine motives of the media to the average citizen.
McCain’s big platform was Campaign Finance Reform. In fact, he was so big on it that now when we hear his name, we automatically think of CFR. Believe it or not, it was with this topic that the media fell in love.
They couldn’t have cared less about the man himself. It was his platform that they loved. Thus, McCain became the media’s golden child.
The average citizen may be wondering, “Why would the media give a rat’s behind about CFR?” I’m glad you asked. The answer can be summed up in one word – power.
Currently, we are led to believe that without so-called CFR, the fat cats of industry are buying the government officials with soft money and are therefore the ones who are truly in power. Furthermore, we are led to believe that if this reform is implemented, it will give us, the general populace, more power.
Friends, we’ve been lied to. Stop and think for a moment. Who is leading us to believe the above statements? No one other than the media. Do we believe for one moment that the media cares about the average citizen? They haven’t in the past, so why should they start now?
No, the reason that the media is a big supporter of CFR is that if it is implemented, power will shift from the fat cats of industry over to them. Nowhere do we as citizens acquire additional power. How does the power shift to the media?
Consider the state of things. Currently, all candidates buy ad time from the media, whether it is TV commercials, newspaper ads or something else. If CFR were instated, then the money supply to the candidates would be severely limited, and the media knows this.
Those within the media could then invite the candidates of their choice to be guests on their shows. Then, that candidate would basically get free airtime to sell himself to the voters.
If the other candidate wasn’t getting equal invitations to shows, then he would need to buy the airtime in order to get his message out to the voting public. However, if his funds are limited, then so is the amount of airtime that he gets.
This has the potential to be far more dangerous than our current state of things. Imagine the media inundating us with propaganda for their pet candidate. Unfortunately, there are enough ignorant and lazy people out there who will slurp up anything the media tells them as if it were gospel truth. A classic example of this group of people is the Palm Beach County voters.
People who were so dumb that they couldn’t figure out how to punch a ballot card.
If we allow CFR, then it will be these people who are selecting our government officials.
This is exactly what the media wants — control over them and you. Is it what you want? Think about it.
