GRADING SCALE:

A Grade of A:  Each task will be completed thoroughly and accurately.  To receive an A on any assignment, a student needs to exceed a teachers' expectations.  What I'm looking for on your behalf is creativity and detail.  "Think outside the box."  For example, for your own version of the nada refrain, be unique, and then be specific in explaining the item that you picked.  For your picture version of, "A Clean Well-Lighted Place," come up with a creative idea, and then explain to me in great detail the reason for drawing the picture that you did by pulling out specific lines and passages from the text.

A Grade of B:  Each task is completed thoroughly and accurately, but lacks innovation and creativity.  You demonstrate an understanding of all of the tasks, but you lack the necessary detail that paints a picture in the graders' mind.  For example, in your essay, you cite from the text, but do not give substantial enough explanations that support the lines that you have cited.

A Grade of C:  You complete all of your tasks, but fail to show any creativity.  The assgnments that you have completed do not show a sufficient understanding of the texts.

A Grade of D or below:  You fail to complete any or all tasks.  Your responses to the assigned activities are incomplete.
