| Staring from a distance
Hoping in this instant To make a connection I know your eyes detect it Gazing into windows of your soul Lost in an impenetrable hold Your eyes paralyze me They emphasize the shake in my knees Although I cannot move I pretend to My legs will not move As well as my lips do I continue feigning action Acting as if nothing happened Did you notice I was afraid? As every word dripped from my tongue to say Forbidden thoughts and hopeful dreams Of all the things I have seen Lustful words and glossy thoughts In the world of Punxsutawny is where I'm lost |
