| I can't breathe and this feeling is stuck in my throat
The air is freezing but my body is on overload Lust isn't just a word I've made it my fucking verb Sometimes love gets caught in your chest That's where it must remain to rest It's still hard to say goodbye As many times as I have tried This is what happens when you fall really hard Cold nights, wrapped up tight in the trunk of a car I've never dealt with this before A feeling seeded deep within my core It gives blurry vision with nights envisioned underneath the stars Nothing says "I love you" like creating a shiny new pink scar Look as it glistens across my heart It's a reminder of what it's like to make a fresh start Why is it so refreshing How it keeps me guessing This is how I imagined it all in my head When I started to fall you caught my heart instead |
