Switching the body for this figure was alot of work. Because of the neck post used on the Episode I figures. I needed to take the ball socket that is in the original body & take out the neck post of the GiJoe figure.. Then in order to keep the head from falling out the the GiJoe body, I took the ball socket cut a square hole in it and slid that onto the post in the GiJoe neck. It may sound confusing, if you ever attempt to try this, you'll see what I mean. You may just want to get a Dragon body, I would imagine since those those body-types are made for longer necks it may be easier. I really hope that for Episode II and any future 12" figures Hasbro ususes the 12" GiJoe bodies instead of the ones being used currently. For the detail on the figure's head. I took off all of the detail, from lips to eyes and then re-painted it all. I added higher hair, so that his face would look thinner. I then added the eyes, eyebrows, new lip color. I then "aged" the figure alittle bit, to try and bring out some of the detail in the sculpt. I darkened the lines in his face and I feel that the result is pretty good. As for the costume, I simply adjusted parts here and there and tried to fit the costume on the doll correctly. The clothes seemed to fall alot better on the figure with the GiJoe body as opposed to the one it came with. I also added the cloth by the wrists, to give the appearance of a shirt underneath. |
