Giant XTC-SEII
HOME
Another custom-built bike from the frame up.  My 1-year old GT RTS full suspension bike developed a crack in the swingarm, and needed repair/replacement.  Since GT had gone throught bankruptcy, and the new owners - Pacific (the Wal-Mart bike king) wouldn't warrantee the frame for me, I looked elsewhere.

My local bike shop -
Rainbow Bicycles in Auburn, Maine worked with me and really stepped up.  They ordered me this Giant XTC SEII hardtail frame, and split their actual costs with me.  With service like that, they will keep me as a loyal customer for years to come.  (Check out their web page.)

The RTS had a LX/XT mixed group, which I moved over onto the new frame. Over the winter, I slowly upgraded it to all XTR.  Rainbow gave me a killer deal on some Rolf Satelite wheels, a Rock Shox suspension seatpost, and a few other goodies needed to complete the build.  What a ride!
