WWF Kick Ass origins

So you wanna know how this site was created and who created it? Well it was the brilliant idea of me....Dave Orchard.

Okay so a wrestling site isn't really an excellent idea because there are millions of wrestling sites out in the World Wide Web but come on, this site is like no other. You see it is all made and maintained by me, just one person, and for a site to be this good and only made by one person, that person has to do a hell of a lot of work. Don't think it isn't hard because all you have to is put a bit of writing here and there and a few pictures somewhere, because you will be dead wrong. It isn't just the actual web site building webmasters have to concentrate on (which is hard enough anyway!) .......there are tons of stuff you have to do, here is a few;
first you need to find a way of advertising your site and because this site is free, it is very hard for me because I can only find free ways of advertising so I try to find sites that will become affiliates with me or put it on web site lists. I do try to put them on search engines but for some reasons it never works out.
second of all you have to find web-tools and java scripts etc to make your web-site better which is very hard because it takes a very long time to actually find what you want.
Third of all it takes up a LOT of you time up.......don't get me wrong, I do have a life, infact i'm out just about everyday so the only chance I get to do my site is really late in the night or even really early in the morning but when I do have spare time I try to spend it all on making this kick ass site better.

I first had the idea of making this site at the beginning of 1999 but I didn't bother starting to build it then because we were paying for the internet and i knew it would make the bill go up so I left it because I knew I was getting the internet free from NTL in a bit but the fucking CD took about 6 months to come through the post. So while waiting I came up with the name WWF Kick Ass (what a cool name, huh?) and i saved tons of wrestling pictures onto my PC and plus I had a pretty clear idea what I wanted the site to look like. So by the time I got the free internet I was all ready to go and even at the beginning of WWF Kick Ass it was a pretty cool site.

So this was it, the beginning of WWF Kick Ass. At first it was a very cool web-site but because I hadn't started to find ways to promote it, no one ever went on it and it just put me off putting all my time and hard work in to it when no body actually saw it so I loss my passion for WWF Kick Ass but then i started getting back in to it and I spent more time than ever on it and found ways of promoting it, so now I have plenty of people on my site (not a lot but enough) and I don't care about hits anymore......even if one person admires my work, that will be fine with me because it means you have atleast caught one persons attention and they enjoy going to my site, that will give me the motivation I need to carry on making this site bigger and better.

The Future: I am hoping this site will be one of the biggest wrestling sites on the net in the future and I know I am a long, long away. But look how good my site is now and I don't pay for anything, so just think when i'm older and i have a credit card so i can start buying things for my site and pay for advertising and pay for a proper domain name, just think how big it will be then.
Mark my words; WWF Kick Ass will be one of the biggest wrestling sites on the net, it is my goal!
