| The threat of Y2K is a distant memory, the United States succeeded in making the world laugh with thier attemptb at a respectable Presidential Election, but one thing is for sure, wrestling is still here, and here to stay... So what can we hardcore fans expect in 2001? Through the last half of the previous century we were groomed to believe everything in this world would be much better when 2000 came along. The number 2000 was tagged onto anything to make it look more powerful and more refined...But 2000 came, and nothing really changed now did it? The same can be said for the wrestling industry, although Vince Russo would have you believe otherwise, there wrestling world wasn't really affected by the rollover....It was a business, a usual.. And isn't that the sad part? That we have to refer to an athletic sport, as a business? Cause that's exactly what is it is! Perhaps that is what the new millenium brought, although it had been a business for a number of years prior to Y2K. So what do we fans have to be happy about? I'll tell you what. What a wonderful time to be a wrestling fan! What a great time to have interest in the wrestling industry. Vince McMahon is building an empire, Ted Turners wrestling empire is crumbling, and Paul E. is struggling with a tremendous product, in need of financial backing. Three separate companies in three separate conditions. How about that, yes, how about that. My predications, take them for what you will, human beings in general see the new year as a time to start over, hell, me more than anyone!
