| ROB VAN DAM without a doubt is the most popular and sucesful wrestler in ECW history he has held numerous titles throughout his carreer including the ECW world Tag team Titles on two occasions, both with the homasidle genesidle SABU. He has also held the ECW world Television title when he won it from BAM BAM BIGALOW at the ECW Arena back on April 4th 1998 and held off many challenges among the way before he was made to forfit the belt on the 9th february 2000 when he was bribed by CYRUS the VIRUS. He held the belt for a record 22 months and amongst the people he beat included Lance Storm at Guilty as Charged '99 JERRY LYNN at Living Dangerously '99 and then again i perhaps his greatest match of all time at the ECW Arena on May 15th '99 at Hardcore Heaven. He went on to headline the main event at Anarchy Rulz '99 against Balls Mahoney. Before he had to give up the belt he fought his former best friend SABU at Guilty as Charged 2000 and won, but on January 9th in a match against Rhino he tore 3 muscles and ligaments in his leg and was sidelined until May 14th at Hardcore Heaven when he made his return to face his greatest nemises JERRY LYNN, but lost in a terrific match which stole the show. |
