A keyboard player has come and gone as well as a configuration with two hot guitarists! Presently the ensemble is a quintet and approaches the frontiers of both jazz and rock. A listen to the CD "Passion for the Blues" should make that abundantly clear.
Here are the current members of DDBB. Everyone in the band sings lead at some point (pretty unique amongst blues bands) and everyone contributes to either the writing or arrangments of original material as well as some of the classics in much the same way as jazz. Yes, you can be a musician without sheet music in front of you!
