| SeaWorld Florida Review |
| SeaWorld Florida received a minor change in 1997. All 4 SeaWorld parks were to be refered to as SeaWorld Adventure Parks. It is a small touch but an important one. It meant that SeaWorld was finally going to join the thrill ride department. The first coaster to open was The Great White at SeaWorld Texas. They also added the Steel Eel junior hyper coaster in 1999. But what SeaWorld Florida got was going to rock Florida forever. Journey to Atlantis, one of the first water-coaster rides in the world is also one of the best. Theming and ride tempo is unbelievable while it gives a new meaning to the phrase, "You Will Get Wet." - Journey to Atlantis This ride is incredible. A water coaster you go through the ruins of the lost city of Atlantis to find out whats been going on there. Just as things start to go good your boat is plunged into the depths of this mysterious city. The first drop you encounter is a 60 foot plunge into the water below. After this you take a 180 degree turn and up a small lift. You go down and water crashes up over the sides of the boat and onto your lap. You then climb higher and higher until you are in the lost city once again. This is where it gets really wild. Instead of being in water you are on roller coaster track flying through the city. You then take a huge helix drop out of the building and into the water. This could quite possibly be the most thrilling water ride I've ever been on. Rating: 10/10 - Kraken It was built in 2000 as the first floorless coaster in Florida. It contains 7 inversions in this order: vertical loop, diving loop, barrel roll, cobra roll (2), vertical loop, and corkscrew. The ride is fast and fun and smooth as anything. Rating: 9/10. |
