Paramount's Kings Dominion
Paramount's Kings Dominion is located in Doswell, Virginia and you can see the sign about a mile away.  At night it lights up and everyone on the highway can see it.  This park showed a lot of promise when it was first built and Paramount didn't have anything to do with it, but now it looks like things are starting to slow down for the park.  Even with the Hypersonic XLC being built in 2001, the park can't hold a light to it's neighbor, Busch Gardens Williamsburg.

- Rebel Yell (1975)
This is one of the two original coasters of the park.  It is a racing woodie where one side has normal trains and the other runs them backwards.  Going backwards is a nice treat, but the ride needs a little work, like a paint job and some new trains.  It is still a great ride though.

- Grizzly (1982)
This is a great ride.  When I rode it in 1998 there were trees all around it and you had no idea where you were going next.  Great airtime and the layout is pretty unique.  I heard that when The Hurler went in in 1994 that almost all the trees on that side of  Grizzly were gone.  They're all back now and it is a great ride.

- Shockwave (1985)
This was one of the first stand-up coasters in the country.  I believe that it was this ride and King Cobra at Paramount's Kings Island that put them in.  The ride layout is pretty simple:  Vertical Loop and a very banked helix and some bunny-hops.  If line wasn't long I'd rate it higher but the crew on this ride is the worst I've ever seen.
Rating: 5/10
- Avalanche (1988)
A simple Mack bobsled coaster, this one I enjoyed a lot.  Each train has a different country and its a really good family coaster.

- Anaconda (1991)
An Arrow multi-looper this one is a little unique as you go through an underwater tunnel after the first drop.  This ride is pretty good if it weren't for the very rough corkscrews.  Other than that it's a descent coaster worth a ride or two.
Rating: 7/10
- The Hurler (1994)
In the Wayne's World section of the park this ride doesn't pack the punch that you might think.  The first drop is great,  the camelbacks are great but other than that you have nothing.  Also note that the distance from the exit of the ride to the entrance is extremely long.
Rating: 7.5/10
- Outer Limits: Flight of Fear (1996)
Quite possibly the roughest ride I have ever been on,  this was one of the first LIM launched rides in the world.  The whole thing is indoors and the queue takes place around a spaceship.  Also note the line is always long even when Volcano is actually working.
Rating: 5/10
- Volcano, the Blast Coaster (1998)
Great ride, except for two things:  too short with not enough inversions and it breaks down way too often.  The rest of the ride however is great.  It features two LIM launches instead of one,  including a launch straight out the top of the volcano.  After that you ride around the exterior of the volcano completing all this wacky looking inversions.
Rating: 9/10
- Hypersonic XLC (2001)
From what I've seen in the videos this is going to be a great ride.  I'm going to try and get there next summer so I can have pictures and reviews for you.
