Majerle

I've been reading these messages, and I've noticed a trend. Most posters here deteste the idea of trading
Majerle. They say that he's extremely important to this team. They say that Riley loves him. They say that
we should not trade him because of what he brings to the court every day. They say that we should show
some loyalty and never trade the guy. They say that Majerle should be untouchable.
To me, this is the same type of crap that everyone was saying about Tim Hardaway...This summer, and
last year. No one wanted to trade Hardaway, because he always showed heart. No one wanted to trade
Hardaway, becuase he was such a great veteran. No one wanted to trade Hardaway, because he was the
Heat's Heart.
The only difference in the crap that has been said about Majerle and that crap that was said about
Hardaway, is that I actually buy that about Majerle.
There is no way that we should trade Majerle. Majerle has contributed to this team in untold ways over the
past few years. Majerle has shown more Heart than Hardaway has in 3 years. I remember that in the 98-99
season, the guy was injured the entire year. But he still played. That's loyalty. That's heart. That's a guy
that I want to be on my Heat team. A guy who hustles and does the little things quetly (about 5rpg, 1spg,
3apg).
I've never heard Majerle bitch, cry, complain, and whine like Hardaway. I've never seen a scrub totally abuse
Majerle like Ward and Childs did Hardaway. I've never seen any type of negatives about Majerle on or off
the court. The only complaints that I've ever had about Majerle was that he was too unselfish. He always
continued to pass the ball or re-feed it down to Zo instead of shooting the open 3.
I do not want to trade Majerle. Not at all. He is one player that I will always show loyalty too.
Next year when he becomes a free agent, I would even offer a multi-year deal. Knowing that he probably
could not finish it out. On the other hand, I would tell Hardaway to "kiss my ass" and "Hell no" to any
thought of a multi year deal. That's how much more respect I have for Majerle.
The only team that I might be willing to trade Majerle to would be the Suns. Only because that's his old
team, and the fans still love him. It wouldn't be so bad to see Dan finish his career there.
