Rich Gulch is a little bit more than three miles up stream of the East Fork Trinity River from Helena.  This area has high mounds of mining tailings and a historical marker descibing this site.
Mine shaft at Rich Gulch
This area is called the Tolin Place, located about 2 1/2 miles up stream of the East Fork Trinity River from Helena.  The only things found here were old apple trees full of wormy apples, fresh bear droppings, the outline of a building, a rock lined hole in the ground full of water, and an old bridge that crosses the river.

Update:  I waded across the river at this bridge and found a great deal of mining activity and a possible graveyard.  I didn't have my camera with me at the time so I will need to make a second trip here soon.
