Symptoms
Congenital Generalized Hypertrichosis is distinguished by the "distribution of hair, as well as by the temporal pattern of growth, the possible assosicated congenital anomalies, and the possible inheritance pattern."  The excess of unwanted body hair does not impair function.  Hair is found only in typical areas on the human body.  "The palms, soles, mucous membranes," etc. are all without hair.  This hair is a fine covering that first appears at birth.  Hair growth on men is much more exterme compared to females. In females, the hair growth is a patchy pattern of growth.
