TRADING RULES
1.
Okay, I hate traders who have crazy amounts of rules and are
really particular about stuff. Me… I’m not overly fussy. Just be cool about
everything! Its concerts, its music, its supposed to be fun… a hobby. Not a
business. And certainly not something to be anal about!
2.
Media related stuff: I like everything… CDRs, cassettes, minidiscs,
etc. I’ll do trades with anything too. If you have cassettes, that’s cool. I
usually trade the following way: 1 video = 2 CDR. 1 CDR = 1 or 2 cassettes
(depends)
3.
I never combine shows on CDR. For example, if you want one 100
minute show and one 20 minute show, even though yeah.. they would fit on 2
CDRs, I would send you the 100 minute show on 2 CDRs and the 20 minute show on
another separate CDR. I file everything in little jewel cases with little tray
liners and everything, and don’t like having more than one show on a CDR because
it messes up my nerdy little system. So I don’t send that way either. Cassette
wise, combine away.. I don’t care. I’m only gonna transfer it to CDR anyways.
Just please be really careful about the end of a side, not losing any time. In
fact, I prefer if you go back a bit and overlap a little, just to be sure there
is no loss in the show.
4.
I don’t care who sends first or last or whatever. Lets just talk
out a nice deal and put it together. Whoever sends first.. doesn’t matter to
me. Just make sure you send me my stuff. Sometimes I get really busy
unexpectedly. I’ll keep you updated by email, and I won’t get mad if you don’t
get mad. Obviously, delays I’m talking about are a few days, maybe a week. Not
months or years. But we can talk about it.. seriously. Don’t just leave me in
the dark. Sometimes a deal takes me a little longer because I have to transfer from
cassette to make your CDR, or else there are a lot of video requests or
something. We’ll talk it over. I’m usually really fast.
5.
I can send you shows on cassette or CDR. Just tell me what brand
you prefer.
6.
I usually use decent to top-of-the-line brands. I don’t mind
Maxell/Memorex/TDK stuff. Some people don’t like it. If you don’t like it, let
me know and I’ll get something better. I also like Kodak and Fuji and other Japanese-brands.
But I’m not so serious in to this that I have to use them all the time. Again,
if you prefer it (or require it!) just let me know and I’m kool and the gang
with that. Video wise I usually use Sony ED T-120s and T-160s, but again… want
something else, let me know.
7.
Shipping wise, within Canada I usually go regular air Canada Post,
or within Ontario or near Ottawa I sometimes use Expresspost, because its only
an extra buck or two and its next day delivery. For U.S. and overseas, I go air
mail. NEVER SURFACE. Oh god, please never send me anything via ground.
Especially if you’re in England or Arizona or L.A. or something! It takes 8
weeks. And I’m sitting here dying to hear that cool rare Rik Emmett show for
two three months, just because postage was $2 cheaper. Hehehe. Just make we
discuss this in advance. And if you prefer it by express or something, let me
know and we can work that out.
8.
If you have a problem with any of my CDs, cassettes, vids, etc.
let me know and I’ll fix it up asap.
9.
I like seeing my name on other peoples sites so if we do a good
deal, add me to your ‘cool guys I’ve traded with’ list and I’ll do the same.
10.
Keep your eyes open for really rare Rik Emmett & Triumph stuff
and if you find me something really rare that I don’t have I’ll give you a
finders bonus!
11.
Bigger is better… I love big trades, so don’t hesitate to offer me
a 60 CD for 60 CD trade! I’m there baby!
12.
B&P deals? I’m cool with that. Hit me with a request and I’m
probably there. I’d rather not do B&Ps with Rik Emmett and Triumph stuff
unless I know you, but try me….
