My first month in Malaysia was spent on the 25 day Standard Course (SC440) as a participant. Phil and I were in a group with about 8 others, mostly Malays. It was good fun, but hard work. The toughest part was learning to cope with a new language, new food and a lack of toilet paper. Above are some of the photos of my group during the 25 day course, and our instructors Azhar and Darma.
Some of my favourite memories from my year in Malaysia are from when I was working as an instructor. I mostly took childrens courses, lasting between 3 and 10 days long. I got to take them jungle trekking, sea kayaking, rock climbing, rappelling etc. The only down side was getting up at 6am every morning to go for a run!
