Smiths Discography
"The Smiths"-
Thier self titled debut album.  Brilliant.  Stand out tracks include "What differnce does it make", "Reel around the fountain" and "Hand in glove"
"Hatfull of Hollow"-
One of several Smiths compilation albums but probarbly the best.  Quite strange that they had a compilation album after only one album.  Some great moments such as "How soon is now", "Heavan knows im misrable now".
"Meat is murder"
Thier second long player is awsome from beggining to end.  "Rusholme ruffians is good Elvis, "Barberism begins at home" is awsome funk and "That joke isnt funny anymore" is one of the best tracks ever in my opinion.
"The Queen is dead"-
Thier third studeo album is regarded by many as thier finest work and often shows up in best album ever polls, most recently the vh1 best album poll.  Contains some of thier finest singles such as "The boy with the thorn in his side" and the awsome "I Know its over".
"Strangeways here we come"-
The Smiths swansong as guitarist Johnny Marr left the group during promotion before the release of thier final single from the album, "Last night i dreamt that somebody loved me".  Great album and in my opinion the finest of the Smiths carrer.
"Rank"-
This live album is from the gap between "The queen is dead" and "Strangeways" as they were releasing the single "Ask".  Very good performance.  Stand out tracks are "Panic" and Rusholme Ruffians".

The smiths were not only a great album band but they were a great singles band as well.  Crashlanding in the charts with "Hand in glove" and "This charming man".  A singles discography will be appearing soon.
Other compilations include-
"Louder than bombs"
"The world won't listen"
Both are colections of album tracks, singles and b-sides.
"The singles"
Obviosly all of the Smiths singles released from "
hand in glove" to "last night i dreamt that somebody loved me".
"The best of 1"
"The best of  2"
"The very best of the Smiths"
All colections of the best singles and album tracks.  Non essential if you own all of the albums.
