I had a great time, sunburn not withstanding. There were some really cool jeeps from all over the place, some of my favorites (including mine of course) were in the parking lot. There were a few inside the show that weren't as nice as the vehicles people drove to the event, which is something I've noticed with regular car shows and cruise-in's. The rock crawling event was a big favorite. I could have sat and watched it all day long, fortunately it was going on all day long. The "Tough Truck" races were interesting, as were the "Monster Truck" races and the mud drags. They could have left out the "Burn Off", sucking in tire fumes is just not my idea of a good time (Besides the pain of watching someone ruin a good pair of tires). I picked up an Optima Red Top Classic battery($20 0ff) so I can dump the craptacular AC-Delco I've been toting around (Although I'll probably miss cleaning up acid goo all the time...heh, heh). Generally, it was good day and not a bad use of 14 bucks I would have blown on something else I couldn't account for anyway.
FYI
I found something I feel should pass along to all of you other YJ owners. I noticed my rear bump stops were missing, so I started looking for new ones, with no luck, till I found them in the 4WD catalogue. The thing is 4WD only lists one, so I called the dealer, and the dealer said they were different from right to left and one side was forty-something and the other side was fifty-something. So needless to say, I started trying to think of other options, and looking at other peoples YJ's. I found a lot of missing bump stops, but I also noticed they weren't different side to side but identical and the small ones that bump on the spring were just generic 1 1/2" wide x 2" long x 2 1/2" high bump stops that I could get with a single stud and just drill out the old plate or I could match them plate to plate. The big angled ones were easy, because 4 Wheel Drive Hardware has them for $12.75 a piece and they fit exactly (They call them axle snubbers though.). So don't put off getting them replaced and check often to make sure yours' are there, my exhaust got mashed which in turn caused my cat to melt, not cheap or fun to replace if you don't have to. I went ahead and put a Catco high-flow catalytic converter and a Borla Cat-Back on when I replaced it ("God gives you lemons, you make lemonade.").
