As always with Monty Python movies, the story is a mixture of laughter, rudeness, unusuall characters and a mixed up plot which keeps you laughing throughout the whole movie. It focusses mostly on King Arthur and his many companions including Sir galahad the pure, Sir Lancelot the brave and Sir Robin not-so-brave-as-sir-Lancelot. King Arthur decides to go on a quest with is companions to find the mysterious 'Holy Grail'' (yes we know what it is!). Anyway they do not travel on horses but have their servants bang coconuts together to make the sound of hooves-ha,ha. But as they are on their journey, certain events in history occur which makes the quest more trickey (e.g.Black Plague). At the end of the film the ''heroes'' die in the most stangest ways (e.g.Killer Rabbit)- as you would expect with all Monty Python movies. To end the film a bazarre twist occurs with King Arthur and Sir Bedevere getting arrested by the police for killing a real-life man who was a historian. In my opinion- ''Pure genius'' by the python lads! |
