What Skudra Had To Say After Beating Pittsburgh, 4-1
(from the Ticker)

Peter Skudra stopped 27 shots and Markus Naslund scored twice as the Canucks ended an 11-game winless streak in Pittsburgh with a 4-1 victory.

Since playing 74 games over three seasons with Pittsburgh, Skudra is 3-0-0 with a 1.33 goals-against average against the Penguins. On Wednesday, he turned aside all 12 shots in the third period in his second appearance with Vancouver.

"I had three great years in Pittsburgh, but the win was more important than playing against them tonight," Skudra said.

"It was good to just go out and play again. I played last year a couple of times against Pittsburgh. Maybe those times were a little more spcial. Tonight it was important to just have a good start, let my teammates gain confidence in me, that I can do the same job as Dan Cloutier."
