Bob somehow wandered out of the arena and came to a river. It was not familiar to him, and that disturbed him. While a familiar river can be the most soothing thing in the world, an unfamiliar one can be hell. Bob approached the river cautiously. Then, just as Bob expected, a troll appeared from under a bridge.
"To pass you must complete a quest," growled the troll.
"And what may that be?" replied Bob.
"You must transport this chicken, this fox, and this sack of oats across the river. Sound easy?"
"Yes, but where is the catch?"
"They are all gay. If they are left alone together, bad things may happen."
"How can a bag of-"
"SILENCE!!! Begin."
Bob realized that he had no choice in the matter. Bob approached the trio cautiously. The fox appeared ferocious, but when Bob approached, he noticed a ribbon tied on its head. The chicken had a purple streak running down its spine. The sack of oats was, well, a sack of oats. Bob decided to take the chicken over, figuring that the fox would not have an appetite for oats. The chicken did not resist and Bob made it across the river. As Bob returned, he heard the troll cackling.
"Look canuck, see the seeds of discontent that you have planted?"
Bob turned to look where he had left the other two. The sight he saw was so awful that even a grizzled hockey player like Bob could not take it. I can not describe it to you, for fear of losing my lunch. Bob recovered to talk to the troll again.
"Why?" Bob asked.
"It was only in your best interest. If you are to go Cup Crazy 2002, you must be hardened. Good luck with the Sabres. I will now release you."
Bob began to walk away. The troll burst out before Bob was gone.
"Wait!" said the troll, "Before you go, you must sign my heel!"
Bob didnt need to be told twice. He grabbed the quickly dwindling Sharpee and did his business.
"Thank you and god bless," said the troll.
