Why

by Dave Deal

People riding life’s roller coaster
Knowing the end is getting closer
Some are brave and some are really scared
But most of them don’t even care
‘Cause a certain person tried to fill his brain
They push him to the edge of going insane

People with pretending faces
Aren’t that way in many cases
You see them come and you see them go
But where they’ve been, nobody knows
You talk of life, they don’t understand
Why can’t he live like a man

A child pulls his little red wagon
Then he sees a big green dragon
Feels his stomach as it starts to squirm
Then the dragon turns into a worm
Ran back home to tell his sister, Linda
Wonders why she jumped out the window

Strangers riding a merry-go-round
Their true identity has never been found
Trying to get out of their cage
To be in a more advanced stage
They try to reach out but can’t find a friend
Because they let them down in the end
