Wheels Of Dishonesty

by Dave Deal

The open road, I traveled
My trip led to no where
I got so high I trembled
At the illusions that were there
Disguised, my poison entered
And enchanted I could not stay
For it too quickly caught me
And affected me in strange ways

Today, I faced reality
Which took some help to find
My adventures disillusioned me
I couldnt control my mind
A full twelve hours in a different world
A world much different than me
Everythings starting to look realistic but
I dont want to see

A tripper traveling no place
And calling no place home
For the wheels of dishonesty
Have made the enchantment gone
