I Am The Way (CCM) by Dave Deal I didn’t know where I was heading I didn’t know where I was going I was driving down sin’s highway Yes, that’s the road I was on I knew I was lost, so, I took out my map Searched all of the exits and signs I saw it was leading me no where But the right road, I could not find The avenue of adultery Would lead me to death and doom And the road of pride leads straight to Ihe fires that will consume The highway of fools is a treacherous road It offers disaster, defeat While lying and stealing and cheating All lead to a dead end street I noticed a sign up above It said take the u-turn to love Eternal life is your reward So, follow the path of the Son, the path of the Lord Then Jesus told me I am the way I’m the beginning and I am the end Yes, I am the way I am the truth and I am the light I am the way. My path, it offers you eternal life ‘Cause I am the way The good man has a firm footing The wicked will stumble and fall The wise man can be instructed The fool knows nothing at all The evil are rich for only a moment The reward for the good lasts always Sin’s highway is so dark and gloomy The light leads the good mans way Now, I can’t over emphasize Use good sense and learn to be wise You’ll always have two ways to go So, turn and come back to the Son- come back to the Lord Author: Dave Deal Email: [email protected]
