Then You Came Into My Life

by Dave Deal

Always on the roam
I never had a home to call my own
Never met a girl I wanted for my wife
Then you came into my life

I was born in the hardest times
I had no place to go
My mother and father,
I never did know
Been followed by the reckless sign
Been running all these years
Running away from people who say they love me
Running away from all of my fears

Always on the roam
I never had a home to call my own
Never met a girl I wanted for my wife
Then you came into my life

I wandered 'round from town to town
People start looking the same
And when youre the stranger
You're always get the blame
Youre tagged a loner; they dont want you around
You didn't go to their schools
You had to live in this town all your life or
You have to learn to play by their rules

Always on the roam
I never had a home to call my own
Never met a girl I wanted for my wife
Then you came into my life

You came into my life
And literally knocked me off of my feet
It must have been the fate of God
For the chance we happened to meet
You took me in and set my love free
