He's Coming

by Dave Deal

The violence of our youth is up
There are governmental cover-ups
The madness inside us erupts
Because we’re all fed up
But still, he’s coming

Discrimination is still here
Polluting the water; destroying the air
A disease that has us all in fear
But there’s still one thing clear
He’s still coming

There is unrest in most countries
The threat to bring us to our knees
And governments can’t seem to agree
We’re our worst enemy
Still, He’s coming

We’re still not over Viet Nam
Nature shows her violent storms
Where will our next meal come from?
Who will drop the bomb?
Because He’s coming

The rich seem to control it all
They have their ways; they change the laws
They say you can’t fight city hall
But they’re in for a fall
I know, He’s coming

Crime is at an all time high
People barely getting by
Some turn to drugs, I don’t know why
I’ve seen so many die
They know, He’s coming

Time gets shorter every day
The end is near, or so they say
But that’s the price we have to pay
Unless we change our ways
Oh yeah, He’s coming
You better believe, He's coming
