CommunityMissionStatement

As Lay Carmelites of the Province of the Most Pure Heart of Mary, our primary mission is to follow Jesus Christ through prayer, community fraternity and service within our families, our workplaces, our parishes and our communities in the spirit of Mary and Elijah. Our Chief means for fulfilling this mission is by our own example within our lives and ministries.

Therefore, we need to develop and encourage a sense of contemplative prayer and service to ALL God's people. This Mission will require:

     A respect for the all the teachings of the Catholic Church,

     Being faithful to those teachings and the guidence of our Holy Father,
     Pope John Paul II

     Follow a spirit of poverty - how do we utilize our own resources?

     Discernment of our community and personal apostolates,

     Follow a spirit of obidence to our rule, and within the spirit of Mary,          Our Lady of Mount Carmel..
