| 3 bay doors fall back when a crushed sleave release pushes a nose cone or 2nd stage away from a booster stage to deploy a plastic bag parachute. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Release Parachutes: Blast off the rocket from the Clark launcher. The rocket goes towards the clouds. The second stage squirts away in to the sky. The first stage was saved by the parachute. The second stage never to be seen again (not). Became a Lawn Dart. OOPS NO 'CHUTE'. |

| Second Stage Releases: A second stage release can deploy a parachute. Or just be a laucher. Or push another rocket closer to the sky. A 2nd stage release must let go at a good time to do useful deployment. WOW ! Big Time Fun!! |

| I like to make rockets that can be repaired and altered easily by using "modular" parts. One can build a number of useful connections because 1" thinwall PVC pipe fits a small pop bottle cap well- so glue 2 caps inside a piece of pipe with superglue and 2 bottles may be joined, or fit a garden hose quick disconnect to one end and you have a very effective launching system and a way to change tail fins easily. Large caps can be drilled and fitted with 1/2" pipe nipples to make many diverse parts. Small caps can be joined together, or to bottle bottoms, or join 2 bottles bottoms together using 1/8" electrical style lamp nipples, nuts and washers. Use clear packageing tape to join fairing pieces together- simply cut out the side of a large enough bottle and wrap it around where two bottles have been joined by lid assemblies. Those Bay doors are made from Pepperoni storage containers-3 containers make 2 ea 3bay door assemblies- make a sleave to grab the body- use thin shock cord as a hinge; just lace thru little holes ....... | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Some more stuff: Pressure bottles, adapters, modular nozzles, launch control manifold and 2nd stage release tester Parts is parts! |
