Lunenburg, Nova Scotia
Business has taken me to this scenic little village many times. Without exception, I've always enjoyed my visits. In April of 1999, I had cause to visit there for a few days. I ended up spending some time late one night and early the next morning wandering about with my camera and tripod. Whether by day or by night, Lunenburg is full of images just waiting to be captured. I hope you enjoy the few that I've shared here.

The quintessential image of Lunenburg, the early morning departure of the fishermen. Here, its the lobster fishermen heading out to check their traps. |

The entire region is reknown for it's elaborate churches. This one's stark white paint lit up the surrounding area by it's mere reflection. |

This boat, the Bluenose II, is probably one of the best known vessels in Nova Scotia. Here, sitting tied up at the dock, it undergoes a seasonal refit. |

Even at night, the vivid colouring of buildings in Lunenburg paint the lanscape. |

I was taken by the play of light and shadow here outside the front of the Fisheries Museum located on the docks. |

Typical of most wood building in Lunenburg, this image is of the exterior of the Fisheries Museum. |
