· My wife and I were also at the Greens meeting last night in New Lynn
described well below. D.

Take heart everyone. Breakfast-TV has only had one pro-GE message this
morning - mine below was one read out. (anyone monitoring talkback? -
tell us know where it's at)

For non-Aucklanders - the Green meeting last night in New Lynn was
passionate and uplifting. A couple of hundred people filled the hall with
their determination to continue the fight for our future. Great speeches
(short and sweet to allow for questions etc) from Nandor, Brendan Hoare,
Steve Abel and Seager Mason? (hope I've got that right) -

Brendan asked all those willing to engage in direct action to stand - the
couple who didn't were noted! Ideas flowed thick and fast and the Greens
were applauded for every word.

I went feeling depressed and deflated. I left feeling resolute and
reassured. The Royal Commission has fatally mis-stepped and missed the
cues from 'ordinary' New Zealanders (actually we are not ordinary - we are
extraordinary!) - but the ballot box is our powerful tool, that not one MP
will fail to attend to. Get to it.

Love
H
