. I very much agree with Sigi (an Austrian living very happily in New
Zealand), below, about re-assessing what's important in one's life, and
giving greater value to the non-material aspects.
. Re-defining "living standards" to mean "how good your life feels to you".

Why do our most experienced, knowledgeable party members (MPs) have to
endorse the slogan that "using up less resources" means a "drop" in peoples
living standards???

Isn't exactly this the questionable phrase used by the people who advertise
wastage + un-sustainability to get the masses to supporting them? (by
threatening them with something unpleasant if they dare to be resourceful)

Shouldn't we for once question these kind of misleading phrases instead of
constantly REPEATING them unquestioned???

Haven't we worked this out 100 times at local party level that living
standards are not depending on the amount of "wastage of resources" but
there are many many more factors which make life a pleasure???

Do Europeans have a much lower living standard than kiwis because
they waste less energy??
Isn't the only important measure of "living standard" one's level of
happiness?

have fun
