Thanks a lot for that piece of information. I am from India. You guessed it
right.
Here, in India, we talk about only Utility-scale wind farms run by either
utility companies (who don't want to give out information). Private company
- (who are sensitive to capital investment, then sales tax benefits, rather
than sustainable energy issue) - owned wind farms are installed and managed
by third parties on acres of identified wind potential land. Each windmill
is sort of sponsored by different company but the piece of land is marked.
Anyway, the power is V cube? So I guess there is a substantial bandwidth
here (range) 80 to 385 kWh for 1 kW turbine. Wow! and this is for same
swept area but different wind speeds for the same turbine! Highly
unpredictable output if it were not for the wind speed measurement
criterion? Is there any in expensive gadget to measure roof top wind speed
(height 65 feet?)
